Odd Song – A Multimedia performance of Vespers Saturday, June 2, 2018 Church of St. John in the Wilderness 261 NY-344, Copake Falls, New York Drawing from different religious and spiritual traditions here in the United States and from other cultures, Odd Song offers a late afternoon remix of traditional Evensong. Odd Song will include an Appalachian holler, Komungo music, guided meditation, Meister Eckhart and electronica, along with other sounds and readings from Psalms and Scripture. The beautiful candle-lit St. John of the Wilderness (1852) in Copake Falls will house a 40-minute exploration of Interfaith harmonies (and perhaps dissonances) of centering within a pluralistic and media saturated world. The Very Rev. John P. Thompson will lead the service with audio and visual accompaniment by media artist 99.  Please note that incense will be used.       Dramatic Flyer
