Dear Friends,

We hope that you will join us for the upcoming concert of Winds in the
Wilderness on Sunday, March 7, 2010, 2:00 at Church of St. John in
the Wilderness in Copake Falls. NY.

This concert features the premiere of a piece by Larry Wallach,
composer and Music Chair at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, written
for the Winds in the Wilderness Trio; Sharon Powers, flute; Ellen Katz
Willner, oboe and English horn; Beth Craig, cello. We will also play music
by Katherine Hoover, Franz Joseph Haydn, Alan Hovhaness, Heitor
Villa-Lobos, Georg Philipp Telemann and Leo Delibes.

Winds in the Wilderness Concerts, which take place in a beautiful landmark
church designed by the renowned 19th century architect Richard Upjohn,
have enjoyed the success of playing to a full house since we began in December,
2009. We plan to extend the series, offering more concerts of the Winds in the
Wilderness Trio and the Oblong Wind Quintet. Stay tuned for future performance
dates. We look forward to seeing you on March 7th.

Sincerely, Sharon Powers, Flutist and Music Director of Winds in the Wilderness
