The banner “Coming Up!” for this early Summer issue of the Voice is reflected in many ways by what you’ll find here–lovely photos celebrating our outdoor offerings; Fr. John’s reminder that God promises us good things and astounding adventures ahead; Senior Warden Judy Whitbeck’s poetic evocation of June; and Brian Boom’s detailed recounting of the many improvements visible on our grounds, including new landscaping with plants coming up, more every day.
On our Calendar you’ll see July 2 is Community Picnic Day, a free event, and the date for the Community Harvest Festival is Sept. 9, our big yearly fundraiser featuring music from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center (and touring) artists Shields & Shenton, performing songs from their show “The American Songbook–Retold”–in our lovely Church from 5-6pm, followed by food, drink, and a silent auction in the big tent, 6-7:30.
Plenty of reasons to rejoice–and visit–St. John In The Wilderness!
