Dear Members and Friends of St. John in the Wilderness (reminder w/ bulletin attached),

This Sunday, May 16, a celebration of the Eucharist in the church is planned for 10 AM. We are glad to have Edee Hedrick back to play the organ. But there will be no choir or (loud) singing . There will be hand sanitizing and bulletins to pick up. Please see below and attached for more detailed safety protocols.

To view (shortly after the service) or review the SJITW 10am Sunday service on YouTube, here’s the link:  Church of St. John in the Wilderness - YouTube  Please subscribe!

Or Join Zoom worship at 9 AM

Please email me any new prayer requests for Prayers of the People (also any removals).

Everyone is asked to bring their own communion bread for safety reasons – as only you will be touching it. There will be single communion hosts in separate plastic cups - one per cup on a table untouched 4 days prior to Sunday morning – for any who forget to bring or don't bring bread.

People are asked to bring masks – and prayer books if you have one to bring. We plan to have on hand extra masks and hand sanitizer.

We are planning for social distancing, sanitizing and general safety.

Please be comfortable choosing either the 9 AM Zoom service or the 10 AM indoor church service (or both if you're in the mood).

Blessings,

John+

We have resumed indoor (in the church) worship Sundays at 10 AM at St. John in the Wilderness. People are asked to wear masks. Plans for social distancing, sanitizing and general safety. The plan is to also continue a 9 AM Zoom worship service. Please see below for detailed, required health precautions for in person attendance at worship (they are also attached). We'll keep you posted if there is any change in plans due to, e.g. a spike in Covid-19 in this area.

Please dress warmly. We will be using heat but also having windows open for added safety.

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS FOR IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE AT WORSHIP

1.  PLEASE STAY HOME IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAS HAD:

2.  PHYSICAL DISTANCE.
MAINTAIN PHYSICAL DISTANCE (6 feet) FROM THOSE OUTSIDE YOUR HOUSEHOLD ANYWHERE ON THE PREMISES, indoors or out.  Masks are not an alternative to distancing.  Masks help keep aerosols from spreading beyond six feet, but are not a guarantee.  They may also help to protect others during brief periods when six-foot separation is not maintained.

3.  MASKS.

4.  WHY.  Specifically, we wear masks properly for three reasons:
